DOLE stages more job fairs, invites jobseekers

More employment opportunities await jobseekers as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) continues to conduct job fairs in coordination with various employers, local government units (LGUs) through their respective public employment service offices, academic institutions, and DOLE regional offices. Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III invited jobseekers, especially those in Central Luzon, Western Visayas, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Caraga, to attend the 13 job fairs initially set for December. As of November 28, the job fairs posted at the PhilJobNet, the government's job search and skills matching portal, are as follows: December 1: Palayan Gym, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija (Region 3); December 2: Iloilo Provincial Capitol, Iloilo City (Region 6); Municipal Gymnasium, Alamada, Cotabato (Region 12); December 3: CDC Tennis Court, CDC Parade Grounds, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga (Region 3); December 4-5: Kalahi Training Center, Poblacion, Veruela, Agusan del Sur (Region 13); December 5-7: Meycauayan Common Terminal, Malhacan, City of Meycauayan, Bulacan (Region 3); December 7: Jubilee Hall, Mabini Street, Iloilo City (Region 6); December 8: 4th Floor, KCC Mall of Marbel, Gensan Drive, Koronadal City (Region 12); Notre Dame of Tacurong College, Sultan Kudarat (Region 12); December 9-10: Kalamansig Gymnasium, Sultan Kudarat (Region 12); December 13: The Event Center, SM City Baliuag, Pagala, Baliuag, Bulacan (Region 3); Municipal Gymnasium, Matalam, Cotabato (Region 12); and December 15: San Miguel Covered Court, San Miguel, Iloilo (Region 6). Bello encouraged jobseekers to join and participate in these job fairs as they speed up the meeting of companies looking for potential employees and jobseekers seeking for employment. He also reminded jobseekers to be ready with the following documents before going to any of these job fairs: resume or curriculum vitae (have multiple copies for multiple applications); 2x2 ID pictures; certificate of employment (for those who were formerly employed); diploma; transcript of records; and authenticated birth certificate.
