DPWH to repair 9 major roads in 3 cities in Metro Manila this weekend

MANILA-- The Department of Public Works and Highways � National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will conduct repair on nine major thoroughfares in three cities in Metro Manila this weekend.

In a statement, DPWH-NCR Director Melvin Navarro said the road works will be conducted starting Fridayat 11 p.m. in Quezon City, Pasig City and Caloocan City.

The affected areas in Quezon City include the second lane, southbound direction of A. Bonifacio Avenue between Calavite Street to Isarog Street; Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) between Times Street to Quezon Avenue; second lane, northbound direction of Quirino Highway between Mindanao Avenue to San Sebastian Street northbound direction of Mindanao Tunnel in Mindanao Avenue.

Also, the northbound direction of Congressional Avenue between Tandang Sora to Luzon Avenue; and westbound direction of Luzon Avenue between Commonwealth to Congressional Avenue.

Road repairs to be undertaken in Pasig City are as follows: at the southbound direction of C-5 road near Julia Vargas; northbound direction of Manila East Road in front of Little Lamb Learning Center near Country Side.

In Caloocan City, the works will be conducted at the northbound direction of Mac Arthur Highway near Monumento Circle.

With this, the DPWH advised motorists to take alternate routes as traffic is expected in the said areas.

The repairs will be completed on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 5 A.M.
