MANILA-- The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has lifted the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVRP) or the number coding scheme from Holy Wednesday, April 12, 2017 to Monday, April 17, 2017 amid the influx of people trooping to the provinces for the Holy Week break.
The agency has also lifted the ban on provincial buses along EDSA from Timog Avenue to P. Tuazon Avenue on the same dates.
It has also suspended the light truck ban policy along EDSA and Shaw Boulevard effective last Monday until Black Saturday, April 15, 2017.
Operations for the three metro railway systems- Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 and Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) are also suspended from April 13-16 for its annual maintenance works.
