NU downs Adamson for 2nd win in UAAP men’s volleyball

MANILA: Defending champion National University (NU) downed Adamson University, 25-19, 25-27, 25-21, 25-18, for its second straight victory in the UAAP Season 86 men's volleyball tournament at the SMART Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday. Nico Almendras had 23 points and 19 excellent receptions while rookie Jade Disquitado added 21 points and 11 receptions as NU gained a share of second place with De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas at 2-1. Behind Marc Paulino, Francis Casas, and John Gay, the Soaring Falcons rallied from 17-21 to win the second set, 27-25.
