OVER 90 PCT OF MARA GRADUATES GAIN EMPLOYMENT AFTER GRADUATION

More than 90 per cent of the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) institutions graduates gained employment after completing their studies.

Kelantan MARA director Fazli Rizal Ismail said that the syllabus of MARA institutions, such as IKM, GiatMARA and MARA Poly-Tech College, meets the needs of industry players, and gives graduates the opportunity to get a job after completing their studies.

“This achievement, at the same time, exceeds the marketability rate of graduates at the national level, not to mention that we have always involved industry players in the preparation of our syllabus.

“We also ensure that what is learned at MARA can be applied in the field of employment, upon graduation," he said, after the closing ceremony of the Kelantan Rural Education roadshow for the Pasir Puteh district, at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bukit Jawa, Selising, here today.

The event was officiated by Yayasan Pelajaran MARA chief executive officer Faisalludin Mohamat Yusuff.

Fazli Rizal said that the MARA education syllabus will be updated every two years, to ensure that it meets the needs of the industry.

He said that Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) holders do not need to worry as MARA provides a quality education system and provides bright opportunities in the future.

“Apart from that, in keeping with the times, MARA also provides education related to artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which is now increasingly being applied in the industrial sector.

“MARA will redouble its efforts because it believes that there are still students or parents who do not clearly know the role of MARA in uplifting the country’s education sector,” he said.
