The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles joined the Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) in the official launch of "Biyaheng Karapatan" at the Larry Itliong Village in Historic Filipinotown on January 18.
The launch of Jeepney Biyaheng Karapatan is an outreach and assistance campaign to the Filipino American community. It aims to provide workers with the knowledge, tools and support needed to uphold their rights. The program also serves as an invitation to the community to support PWC in its programs and projects for the community.
Vice Consul Dyan Kritine Miranda-Pastrana and ATN Officer Alexander Maestrado represented the Consulate General. U.S. Department of Labor Mr. Daniel Pasquil, Equal Opportunity Commission Deputy District Director Chris Park Gonzales and members of the Filipino American community attended the event. END
