Rains continue over most of PH due to shear line, ‘amihan’

MANILA: Most parts of the country will experience rains on Tuesday due to the shear line and the northeast monsoon (amihan).

In its early morning forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the shear line is affecting the Visayas and the northern portion of Mindanao while the northeast monsoon is affecting Luzon.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and Caraga.

The weather system will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan and the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with rains are expected over the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Bicol and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon due to the northeast monsoon.

The northeast monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Moderate to rough coastal waters are expected in the seaboards of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
