SEVEN LOCAL STARTUPS JOIN CYBERVIEW’S LIVING LAB ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME

PUTRAJAYA, Cyberview Sdn Bhd, via its Living Lab Accelerator (CLLA) programme, has selected seven local startups to boost their business development and growth to commercialise innovations for smart cities. This includes technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), robotics, and digital and data-centric solutions for smart and green living, among others. The startups are MengajiOnline, NexoPrima, MindnRobotics, SOLVNEX, SmartPeep, Bual Design, and BriqBloq. Cyberview's Technology Hub Development division head Shafinaz Salim said in line with the MADANI Economy Framework, the agency supports the government's commitment towards startups through the CLLA programme. 'Being one of the longest-running accelerator programmes in Malaysia, we have seen many alumni making significant contributions to the ever-expanding tech ecosystem of Cyberjaya and the country's digital economy. 'Evolving with the landscape's demand, we are always on the lookout for solutions employin g the latest in technology, such as generative AI and robotics,' she said in a statement today. Shafinaz said Cyberview has come a long way and would continue to support these companies not only for the testing of their solutions in Cyberjaya but also in expanding into new markets. The seven local companies are undergoing a five-month programme designed to support their research and development, with a focus on achieving Product-Market-Fit, to ensure meeting market demands. With the support of Cyberview, these companies would also have the opportunity to network and connect with relevant industry experts, in both domestic and international markets through private and public initiatives. Startups under the 2024 cohort would enjoy incentives over RM100,000 per start-up throughout the programme, including rent-free workspace at Colnnov8 -- which is Cyberview's soft landing zone, business advisory and mentoring -- to develop viable business models and gain market access. At the end of the five months, the st artups would pitch and showcase their solutions at a 'Demo Day' to potential investors, partners and the media. The CLLA programme has nurtured over 98 startups and attracted investments exceeding RM255 million. It has also generated over RM792 million in revenue over the past decade and created more than 1,400 jobs. Among its alumni include TheLorry, MoneyMatch, MEDKAD, MHub, Supagene, Monsta, BillPlz, and Trackerhero, among others.
