The positive economic prospects should not lead to complacency, FinMin says

Cyprus may have beaten every estimates both at home and abroad but the economy`s positive prospects should not lead us to complacency because we still have road to cover, Minister of Finance Harris Georgiades has said.

Speaking to an event organised by the Treasury on Thursday, Georgiades pointed out that following the exit from the economic adjustment programme, the Cypriot economy has made steps towards restoring its credibility and presents strong growth, which is one of the highest in Europe.

“This positive prospect should not lead us to complacency simply because we still have road to cover,” he stressed.
