Over 1M now vaccinated in Zambo City

A total of 1,134,290 individuals have received the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine in this city since the start of the government’s vaccination program in March 2021.

The City Health Office reported Friday that the city government aggressively pursues vaccination of eligible population belonging to different priority groups.

Of the total, 526,092 individuals representing 75.72 percent of the total target eligible population of 694,696 have received their second dose of Covid-19 vaccines or are fully vaccinated.

The fully vaccinated individuals belong to the following priority groups: workers in front-line health services (A1), 18,250; senior citizens (A2) 47,834; individuals with comorbidity (A3), 75,832; front-liner personnel in essential sector (A4), 134,617; indigents (A5), 94,796; rest of the population (ROP), 79,292; pediatrics (12 to 17 years old), 1,285; and, rest of pediatric population (ROPP), 74,186.

The City Health Office report showed that 34,128 of the 526,092 fully vaccinated individuals have received their Covid-19 vaccine booster.

Some 608,198 individuals have received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccines or are partially vaccinated representing 87.54 percent of the total target eligible population of 694,696.

The partially vaccinated individuals are as follows: 19,164, A1; 51,067, A2; 70,237, A3; 159,007, A4; 112,451, A5; 110,085, ROP; 1,685, pediatrics; 84,502 ROPP.

Meanwhile, a total of 25 vaccination centers were activated Friday to reach target eligible population.

“The city government exerts best efforts to accelerate vaccination to achieve herd immunity (mass population protection) against Covid-19 the soonest time possible,” the City Health Office said in a statement.
