Angeles City starts rollout of Covid-19 booster shots

The city government here started on Thursday the administration of booster shots against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) to fully vaccinated residents.

Through its program “Sundo Bakuna sa Barangay,” the city government began the inoculation at the City College of Angeles and Angeles City National High School.

The “Sundo Bakuna sa Barangay” is part of the blended vaccination scheme of the city government aimed at bringing the vaccines closer to the public.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said this is part of the efforts of the city government to fast-track the ongoing vaccination.

Irish Calaguas, the chief implementer of the city vaccination program, said the booster shots to the fully vaccinated Angeleños will be done by schedule.

Lazatin said contact tracing and disinfection of both offices at the Angeles City Hall are currently being conducted to contain the spread of the disease.
