The provincial government of Catanduanes has canceled the order requiring the use of the Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage (S-PaSS), a travel management system for easier contact tracing purposes.
The Incident Management Team (IMT)-Catanduanes confirmed on Thursday that the S-PaSS is no longer part of travel requirements for inbound passengers.
“Under the latest Executive Order (EO) No. 04, series of 2022, issued by Governor Joseph Cua, intrazonal and interzonal travels to Catanduanes are now allowed and S-PaSS is no longer required to all travelers,” an IMT advisory on the EO posted on social media read.
Fully vaccinated individuals only need to present their vaccination card and identification card (ID) to the Border Control Management Team.
However, “partially and unvaccinated travelers are still required to present a negative antigen or reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test valid within three days from the date and time of the test,” the post added.
Catanduanes is currently under Alert Level 2 community quarantine status and indoor activities are allowed at a maximum of 50 percent capacity and 70 percent for outdoor activities.
The provincial government is reminding the public to always follow the guidelines being implemented to eradicate the effects of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.
