1 dead, 12 hurt as car of ex-PBA star’s daughter hits pedestrians  

MANILA, Philippines An AUV, reportedly driven by a daughter of former basketball player Nelson Asaytono, lost control and plowed through two establishments and pedestrians in Manila on Tuesday night, killing one and injuring 12 others.


Traffic investigator Senior Police Office 3 Rey Fernandez said Oscar Lastimado was killed after being accidentally run over around 8:30 p.m. by the AUV driven by Kim Arielle Asaytono, 22.


Four of the 12 injured were in critical condition.Initial reports said that the younger Asaytono was having an argument with her companion inside the AUV when she lost control of the vehicle.


It rammed a barbershop, a horse race betting station, parked tricycles, and pedestrians on the corner of Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard and Altura Street in Sta. Mesa, Manila.


Fernandez said Asaytono is under inquest for homicide as authorities are investigating the incident.
