2 provinces, 4 cities in Caraga log zero Covid-19 cases

The provinces of Surigao del Sur and Surigao del Norte and four cities registered zero coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases on Friday.

 

In a report on Saturday, the Department of Health (DOH) 13 (Caraga) said the cities of Butuan, Surigao, Cabadbaran, and Bislig likewise logged zero infections.

 

The agency also reported 10 new cases, 23 new recoveries, and two deaths that day.

 

Overall, Region 13 has 49,008 infections — 46,882 recoveries, 243 active cases, and 1,883 deaths.

 

Five of the new cases were recorded in Agusan del Sur, two in Bayugan City, and one case each in Agusan del Norte, Dinagat Islands, and Tandag City.

 

The remaining Covid-19 cases represent 0.5 percent of total cases.

 

“Of the remaining active cases in Caraga Region, 62.9 percent are considered asymptomatic, 33 percent are with mild symptoms, 3.7 percent with severe symptoms, and 0.3 percent are in critical conditions,” the DOH-13 said.

 

The agency also reported that of the 3,713 individuals tested from November 14 to 20, only four percent or 152 turned out positive for Covid-19.
