Three most wanted persons (MWP) were arrested in recent separate operations in Mimaropa.
In a statement Friday, Police Regional Office 4B (Mimaropa) chief Brig. Gen. Sidney Hernia identified the suspects as Epelimenico Flores Diaz, 56; Rodel Dion Alcain, 43; and Allan Mangao Gacute, 27.
Diaz, who is listed as the region’s top 1 most wanted person, was arrested on Thursday in a joint law enforcement operation led by the personnel of Rizal Municipal Police Station (MPS) together with the elements from the Regional Intelligence Unit 4B under the PNP-Intelligence Group at Purok Pag-asa, Barangay Antipuluan, in Narra, Palawan.
Diaz is wanted by the Brooke’s Point Palawan Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 165 for three counts of rape with no bail recommended.
Meanwhile, Alcain, a native of Negros Occidental, who is listed as Marikina City’s top most wanted person, was arrested on Tuesday in a joint law enforcement operation led by the personnel of Romblon Municipal Police Station.
Alcain is wanted for four counts of rape with no bail recommended by the Marikina City RTC Branch 192.
Also on Tuesday, Gacute, who is listed as Antique’s third most wanted person, was arrested in a joint law enforcement operation led by the personnel of Bulalacao MPS in Barangay Poblacion, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro.
Gacute is also wanted for rape and has a warrant of arrest issued by the Culasi, Antique RTC Branch 13.
Since January this year, PRO 4B had already arrested a total of 431 most wanted persons, based on the data from the Regional Investigation and Management Division.
