8 Manila-Busuanga flights cancelled due to bad weather

MANILA A total of eight flights between Manila and Busuanga were cancelled due to bad weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) reported Monday.

These flights were: Skyjet (M8) 715/716, M8 711/712, CebGo (DG) 6041/642, 6057/6058 Manila-Busuanga-Manila.

In its 11 a.m. severe weather bulletin on Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said moderate to heavy monsoon rains are expected over the northern portion of Palawan, including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, Mindoro provinces, Romblon, and Western Visayas.

At 10 a.m., the center of tropical storm Hanna was spotted at 875 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. It is moving north northwest at 15 kms. per hour, maximum winds of 85 kph, and gustiness of up to 105 kph. (PNA)
