Brunei Darussalam will play a Group ‘A’ opener in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-14 Regional Festival of Football against Philippines at the Track and Field Sports Complex on August 18.
The kick-off for the opening afternoon fixtures will be slightly adjusted from the pre-set kickoff time of 4pm to make way for the opening ceremony of the AFC event. The hosts have been scheduled to play at 4:35pm in the main venue while Group ‘B’ teams, Vietnam and Singapore will set the ball rolling at 4:40pm at the Berakas Sports Complex.
The rest of Brunei fixtures will all be held at 8:15pm at the same venue. Brunei will play Myanmar on August 19 and Malaysia on August 21.
Since there is no final given that the tournament focuses on development rather than competition, Brunei Darussalam will hold the honour to close the tournament in their final group stage match against Timor Leste before the closing ceremony on August 22.
