Bulacan police to continue fight vs. illegal drugs

Col. Lawrence Cajipe, newly installed acting police provincial director of Bulacan, has vowed to continue the government's intensified campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling and all forms of criminality.

Cajipe, during his first command conference in the province held Tuesday at Camp Alejo Santos here, relayed relevant instructions and directives from higher authorities, particularly on the fight against illegal drugs, insurgency and the no take policy on illegal gambling.

He said he is determined to fully implement the marching order of PNP chief, General Archie Francisco Gamboa, on internal cleansing to rid the PNP of rogue police personnel and to render only the best public service every Bulakenyo deserves.

Cajipe, who is formerly the regional chief of Criminal Investigation and Detection Management Group (CIDG) of the Police Regional Office 4 A, replaced Col. Emma Libunao as acting director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office.

Libunao was reassigned to the Office of the Chief, PNP in Camp Crame in Quezon City, along with chiefs of police, Lt. Col. Orlando Castil Jr. of the City of San Jose del Monte; Lt. Col. Omar Fiel of Santa Maria; and Lt. Col. Joel Aparejado of Guiguinto town.
