C. Visayas Independence Day job fair offers 4K vacancies

Around 4,000 local vacancies will be available at a Central Visayas-wide job and business fair to mark Independence Day on June 12, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Region 7 said on Saturday.

Undersecretary Victor Del Rosario, concurrent regional director, said jobseekers from Cebu and Negros Oriental will have a wide array of local positions to choose from the 31 companies in the DOLE’s 2022 “Kalayaan Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan” (TNK).

In Cebu, job seekers are invited to visit the Robinsons Galleria where a total of 2,675 vacancies can be availed.

On the other hand, applicants in Negros Oriental can join the job fair at the Lamberto Macias Complex Center in Dumaguete City.

Occupations with the most number of vacancies posted are customer service representatives; technical support representatives; masons; carpenters; financial support advisors; cashiers; and technical support advisors.

“We enjoin jobseekers to make the most of the opportunities made available for them to be able to find work. As much as possible, we want as many jobseekers as possible to join these events,” Del Rosario said in a statement.

Applicants are reminded to pre-register online at bit.ly/Register-DOLERO7-JobFair and should come to the venue with their updated resume and curriculum vitae, bio data, picture (2×2), certificate of employment (if available), diploma/transcript of records, and authenticated birth certificate.

Just like the Labor Day job fairs, the event will still retain other equally important components such as the DOLE Clinic and the One-Stop-Shop Services of the partner agencies such as the Department of Trade and Industries, National Bureau of Investigation, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, PAGIBIG Fund, Philippine Health Insurance Corp., Philippine Postal Corp., Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Professional Regulations Commission, Philippine Statistics Authority, Social Security System, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

“These job fairs are open to all unemployed, skilled and unskilled workers, fresh college graduates, graduates of training institutions, displaced workers, and employees seeking advancement. During the jobs fair, applicants should carefully select vacancies suited to their qualifications,” Del Rosario said, adding that the employers could interview and hire on-the-spot qualified workers.
