MANILA- Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana on Friday vehemently denied any connections to "Arrest Order No. 3" which is reportedly circulating publicly.
"We have received reports that an Arrest Order No. 3 is currently being circulated," he added.
The DND chief issued this statement after receiving phone calls asking for clarifications on the matter.
Lorenzana, in his capacity as Martial Law Administrator, said he did not issue any Arrest Order No. 3, thus, any copy of the document being circulated is fake.
Martial Law in Mindanao was declared nighttime of May 23 shortly after the Maute Group attack in Marawi City.
"I call on everyone not to share this fake news to avoid confusion, and not to jeopardize our current operations," the DND chief added.
"Any announcement relating to Martial Law will be disseminated officially," Lorenzana pointed out.
