MANILA-- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is conducting maintenance works along roads particularly in Quezon City in preparation for the second State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Duterte.
DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) Director Melvin Navarro said Wednesday the maintenance works include the repainting of road pavements, road markings and cutting of grass along center islands.
Tapos mag pintura. Lahat na pwede I retouch na pintura, pinturahan namin. Along the road para maaliwalas naman," he said.
"Maggrass cutting sa Commonwealth Avenue center island para malinis," the DPWH-NCR official added.
He noted that he already met with the engineers regarding the works to be conducted along major thoroughfares although they do not know which route the President's convoy would take going to the Batasan complex.
Duterte will be delivering his second SONA on July 24 where he is expected to report to the public his accomplishments in the past year.
