MANILA-- A group calling itself the "Friends Of Rody Duterte" (FORD) took to the streets Monday in support for the administration's anti-illegal drug program and other projects.
Rolin Batan, FORD San Juan chapter head, said around 500 members will be expressing their support for President Duterte as he delivers his second State-of-the-Nation-Address (SONA) this afternoon.
Batan said Duterte's hard-nosed stance against illegal drugs is starting to bear fruit as his area, Barangay Corazon De Jesus, is starting to be cleansed of this menace.
He said previously, the area is allegedly infested with addicts and illegal narcotics vendors.
Batan stressed that their attendance in today's SONA and expression of support to President Duterte is voluntary.
