MANILA-- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has appointed lawyer Ramil Comendador as the new Election Officer (EO) of Navotas City.
According to Comelec Chairman Juan Andres Bautista the new Election Officer IV was sworn In last July 17.
"Ramil is certainly an inspiration to everyone, especially to his colleagues in the Commission and to the youth. His story shows that if you work hard enough, you will be rewarded in the end, he said in a statement.
Comendador was among the bar exam passers last May.
"Remember Atty Ramil? Well, he has been recently promoted as the new @COMELEC Election Officer of Navotas City. Congratulations!!??" Bautista said in his Twitter account, @ChairAndyBau.
The poll body chief has approved the recommendation of the commission's Regional Selection Promotions Board, which chose Commendador over six other applicants for the post.
It was in 2007 when the new EO had joined the Comelec as a utility worker in the office of Commissioner Rene Sarmiento.
Commendador earned his Bachelor in Public Administration degree and Juris Doctor at the Universidad de Manila in 2011 and 2016, respectively.
Before his promotion, he was assigned as an Election Assistant in Malabon City.
