KPDN TO PROMOTE RAHMAH MOBIL SALE PROGRAMME BY AIDILADHA

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) will go all out to promote its newly launched Rahmah Mobil Sale programme before Hari Raya Aidiladha festivities.

Its deputy minister, Fuziah Salleh said the mobile sale programme would run from June 16 to 28 and involve 640 constituencies throughout the country.

"The ministry will appoint suppliers and hold mobile sales in rural areas that lack supermarkets and where residents have difficulty obtaining daily necessities.

"It will not burden consumers as the products come directly to them with subsidised prices,” she told reporters after the launch of the programme at the Pantai Irama Expo Site here today.

She said that two sale methods were used previously, sales at suitable premises, such as supermarkets and hypermarkets, and sales at selected sites, with the ministry working with local leaders and industry players to hold sales in parliamentary and state constituencies.

Fauziah also said that the Rahmah Mobil Sale programme will be held twice a month in 45 constituencies in Kelantan, to provide daily necessities at affordable prices to local communities.

“This initiative offers consumers the chance to obtain daily necessities at 30 per cent lower prices compared to local market prices, and reduce the cost of living for the people,” she added.

Fuziah also launched the Kelantan-level Aduan Suri hotline, with nine channels allowing consumers to lodge complaints easily and effectively, adding that the ministry had taken steps to relaunch all consumer complaints channels and to improve the system’s user-friendliness.

“The ministry will intensify promotions so that complaints can be lodged easily,” she said.
