MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

House Committee on Appropriations Chairman Rep. Rolando Andaya Jr. gave the assurance that there will be no zero budget for lawmakers during the watch of former President and now House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Andaya in a press briefing on Monday said the instruction given to him by Speaker Arroyo was to equitize. "No zeros when it comes to district allocations regardless of how the Representative voted. So that was the instruction, said Andaya. So, for us, mission accomplished. He added that their itemization of lump sum funds agreed during the bicameral conference committee was done equitably regardless of the House Members' political affiliation. | Eddie Galvez / Gilbert Engay
