Manila: A huge part of the country, especially in Northern Luzon, will experience rains caused by the northeast monsoon or "amihan," the weather bureau said on Friday. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) indicated that regions including Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will see light rains. According to Philippines News Agency, the rest of Luzon, the Visayas, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao are also expected to experience isolated light rains. Isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao. PAGASA has forecast moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas across the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon, as well as the eastern section of the country. In other regions, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. Meanwhile, Tropical Depression Nuri was last tracked 1,58 0 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). PAGASA weather specialist Leanne Loreto reported that the cyclone is unlikely to enter PAR and is no longer affecting the country.
