Three drug suspects were arrested and some PHP10 million worth of marijuana was seized during the intensified anti-illegal drugs operations in Guiguinto and Obando towns here on Wednesday.
In his report, Col. Relly Arnedo, officer-in-charge of Bulacan Police Provincial Office, identified the three arrested suspects as Eliterio Pazon Jr., 28, delivery boy, and Hazel Domingo, 31, online seller, both residents of Masagana Homes, Barangay Sta. Rita, Guiguinto; and Allan Lucero, 31, a tourist guide from Barangay Hulo, Obando.
Operatives of the Guiguinto Police Station, together with the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), arrested Pazon and Domingo in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Rita around 3:15 a.m.
Seized from the two drug suspects were 16 bricks of suspected marijuana with an estimated weight of 30 kilograms and a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of PHP3.6 million.
Likewise, Lucero was nabbed in a joint buy-bust operation by the elements of Obando police and Bulacan PIU around 4:35 a.m. in Barangay Hulo.
Confiscated from Hulo were 67 bricks of suspected marijuana weighing some 53.5 kilograms with a DDB value of PHP6.4 million.
Based on a report, Lucero was previously arrested and charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
An inventory of recovered pieces of evidence was conducted in the presence of media practitioners, Department of Justice representatives, and elected barangay officials.
Appropriate charges of violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of RA 9165 are being readied against the suspects for court referral.
