The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) encourages the public to be the eyes and ears of our communities through its Operation: Private Eye (OPE).
"The PDEA OPE is a reward and incentive program designed to fully engage the Filipino people to participate in the national anti-drug campaign by reporting illegal drugs activities taking place in their neighborhood," said PDEA Director General Isidro S. LapeAa.
The Private Eye Rewards Committee, which is composed of members from the academe, non-government organizations, law enforcement, religious and business sectors, is tasked to evaluate, deliberate and approve the resolution granting monetary rewards to qualified informants.
To report illegal drug activities and be eligible for Private Eye Rewards, simply follow the directions below:

"We have established appropriate security measures to ensure that our informants are protected. We can assure the public that all the information we receive through Private Eye are being handled with utmost confidentiality," LapeAa noted.
On June 27, 2016, five informants identified only through their codenames: Alex, Joel, Ice Crasher, Silent Operator Matanglawin, and Chad, received over P3.6 million in cash rewards under Operation: Private Eye (OPE).
In 2015, a total of P9.82 million was awarded to 33 informants who provided relevant information resulting in the confiscation of 144.10 kilograms of shabu, 1,010 pieces of ecstasy tablet, 99.84 kilos of marijuana bricks, 26.96 kilos of marijuana plants, 1,200 pieces of marijuana seedling and 2.11 kilos of pseudoephedrine.
"Be a private detective in your own little way and make a big difference in the fight against the use and abuse of illegal drugs," Lapena said.
PDEA also has a round-the-clock message center known as the "PDEA 24/7 Text Hotlines" that provides another venue that is accessible to all to report to PDEA any suspected illegal drug activities in the communities.
Since its launch in April 2013, a total of 18,286 messages containing drug-related reports, were received through the hotlines. These information led to the conduct of significant anti-drug efforts that include intelligence operations, casing and surveillance operations, and treatment and rehabilitation assistance.
"Through the text hotline, the citizenry will be encouraged to work hand in hand with PDEA in enforcing the anti-drug law by passing timely and reliable information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week," LapeAa added.
