On the heels of its Fun Caravan, the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) is set to stage the 26th edition of the biggest travel trade exhibition in the promotion and marketing of domestic and inbound tourism.
The 26th Philippine Travel Mart, which will be held on Sept. 4 to 6 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, offers more business opportunities to exhibitors and generate more interest to the visiting public.
PHILTOA said that while the inclusion of ASEAN tour packages was initiated in last year’s conference, the Philippines, under the Tour Caravan Sale ng Bayan will lead this year’s tour offerings.
Other tour offerings will include ASEAN destinations plus China, Japan and Korea (ASEAN + 3) in line with recognition of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
In connection with the just concluded Madrid Fusion Manila last April, PHILTOA said that it would incorporate Flavors of the Philippines, the nationwide food festival which features activities ranging from food markets to featured food and menus, in different venues within the exhibition.
A designated section of the Exhibition Flavors of the Philippines will be set aside with 10 units of booth space. It will be exclusive to the Regional culinary display which will include food demo and tasting.
The 26th Travel Mart will carry the theme, The Philippines, the Fun Capital of Asia. (PNA)
