MANILA-- The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) has arrested a sack factory worker in Marilao, Bulacan for alleged cybercrime.
This after the suspect was reported to the police for alleged threats to post lewd photos of his girlfriend on the Facebook.
In an entrapment operation in Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City, the PNP-ACG arrested the suspect identified as Reynaldo Morales, 24, a native of Masbate province.
In the complaint of Geraline Mapa, 21, a native of Uson, Masbate, the suspect allegedly threatened the victim that he would post on the Facebook her picture in exchange for Php 17,000.
However, the suspect claimed that he merely sent her picture on the messenger as a revenge for having another boyfriend.
Morales will be charged with violation of Section 6 of Republic Act No. 10175, or the "Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012".
