PNP-ACG still holding seminars on cyberbullying despite lack of manpower

MANILA-- Despite its lack of personnel, the Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) is still conducting cyber awareness and cyberbullying presentations nationwide.

This was stressed by PNP-ACG operations division chief Senior Supt. Michael Angelo Zuniga in a press briefing at Camp Crame, Quezon City Wednesday.

He added that these initiatives are all part of their school opening activities and ensure that students, especially the young ones, are protected from cyberbullying and teach on the steps they need to undertake in case they become victimized.

Zuniga said that these events are being conducted by their regional offices.

The PNP official stressed that their roster should consist of 162 personnel but currently they are doing these functions with only 144 persons.

As of this posting, the PNP-ACG only has five field units covering the 18 regions nationwide.
