According to Magdalo Chairman, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, after only a month of campaigning, the six lesser known Otso Diretso candidates have started to gain momentum.
"The Otso Diretso candidates are about to break into the top 20. Alejano is now at number 21 from number 25 in the January survey; Samira Gutoc is now at number 23 from 31; Chel Diokno is at number 25; TaAada is at number 26; while Romy Macalintal is at number 27. The Magdalo in-house survey employed a multi-stage probability sampling design with face-to-face interviews of 3,000 respondents equitably representing the voting population across different regions of the country, and has a margin of error of 1.8%.
