SULTAN NAZRIN ATTENDS MB PERAK’S AIDILFITRI OPEN HOUSE

LENGGONG, The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah today attended the Menteri Besar's Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration at Lenggong MARA Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi here today. His Highness accompanied by the Raja Permaisuri Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim arrived at about 11.45 am and were received by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.. Also present were the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar, Raja Muda Musa; Raja Puan Besar Perak, Raja Nazhatul Shima Sultan Idris Shah and Raja Di Hilir Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah as well as Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim Shah. Also present were Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang, Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, state government executive councillors, State Legislative Assembly members and about 15,000 guests. Saarani in his speech said the arrival of Syawal once again revived the traditional practice of open houses for visiting relatives and close friends. "The practice of open hou ses with the participation of various races highlights the culture of respect that has long been a bastion of national unity," said Saarani, who is also Kota Tampan assemblyman.
