Timor Leste Gained the Upper Hand Against Philippines with 4-2 (BruDirect (Brunei))

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Festival for under 14 players continued yesterday with Timor Leste came face to face against the Philippines at the Berakas Sports Complex.

Timor Leste earned a comfortable 4-2 win against Philippines. Timor Leste netted the first goal through Nivio Maro Angelo Da C.M Alberto in the 37th minute. However, Philippines equalised through Delima Rob Cyroq Barcuma. Before the end of the first half, Timor Leste doubled the score through Benny Francisco Gomes Morais Ribeiro.

After the break, Timor Leste immediately scored their third goal. Philippines got lucky during extra time when Timor Leste made an own goal through Mateus Mithelio Madeira Soares Hornai. Timor Leste’s efforts paid off when they once again scored in extra time through Rivaldo Dos Santos Pereira.

At the track and field area of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, Malaysia had a goal fest when they defeated Myanmar 8-0.

In the first half, Malaysia led the match with a score of 5-nil through Saravanan Thirumurugan, Adam Farhan, Muhd Muizudin Nafis, Akmal Hakim and Mohd Irfan Faiz. Malaysia’s domination continued into the second half when they added another three goals.
