Cloudy skies, rain likely in Visayas, Bicol till Friday: PAGASA

MANILA -- Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains, and possible occasional heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning due to thunderstorms, will be experienced over the Visayas, Bicol region and Palawan province, the state weather bureau, PAGASA, said in its 24-hour forecast released Thursday afternoon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies, except for isolated light to occasionally heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning, will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA also said, noting that the inter-tropical convergence zone is affecting Southern Luzon and the Visayas.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over Palawan, the Visayas and Mindanao and coming from the east to southeast over the rest of Luzon, while coastal waters nationwide will be slight to moderate, the bureau said.
