PAGASA: Northeast monsoon affects northern Luzon

Cloudy skies with light rains is expected to prevail over Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and Aurora, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

In its 24-hour advisory, PAGASA cited that northeast monsoon is affecting northern Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds will blow from northeast over northern Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Light to moderate winds coming from northeast to northwest will prevail over the rest of Luzon, and from southwest to west over the rest of the archipelago with slight to moderate seas.
