BMC psychiatry dept. imposes ‘no vax card, no entry policy’

The Bicol Medical Center, Psychiatry department in Barangay Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur will start on Thursday the implementation of the “no vaccination card, no entry” policy after it was placed in total lockdown due to coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases.

In a social media post on Wednesday, BMC said the policy is to protect the health of the healthcare workers, patients, and community against Covid-19.

“The BMC-Department of Psychiatry shall adopt the following policies, upon entry, all patients seeking outpatient consultation and their companions must present their vaccination cards. All patients who will seek admission at the Acute Crisis Intervention Service (ACIS) and their companions must present their vaccination cards, with their Antigen test taken within 48 hours before admission,” the advisory read.

It added that all staff who will report at the Department of Psychiatry must be fully vaccinated.

Last January 4, the BMC Department of Psychiatry was placed under total lockdown because 28 patients and four hospital staff tested positive for Covid-19.
