Police operatives arrested over the weekend two suspects linked to the recent killing of Arnel Delapoz, driver-cook of Catholic Parish Church in Placer, Masbate.
In an interview on Tuesday, Maj. Malu Calubaquib, Police Regional Office 5 (PRO-5) spokesperson, said Retche Laurente, 27, of Caloocan City; and Jordan Nepomuceno, 31, of Barangay Nursery Masbate City, were arrested in Barangay F. Magallanes in Masbate City.
They were identified as those walking near the site of the crime as seen in closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
She said authorities collared the two suspects in a manhunt operation.
Investigators said robbery was the primary motive of the killing.
“Suspects were detained in the custody of Placer MPS and facing robbery with homicide charges,” Calubaquib said.
