A fifth regional assistance center of the Department of Justice (DOJ) will start operations within the month.

The DOJ Action Center (DOJAC) Region III will be available to serve the marginalized sector in the provinces of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales by March 24, the agency said in a statement on Friday.

It will be located at the New Capitol Compound in Palayan City, the capital of Nueva Ecija.

DOJAC acts on complaints, requests for legal assistance, and queries of walk-in clients and those availing of services via telephone calls.

Lawyer or paralegal officers provide assistance while members of the National Prosecution Service and the Public Attorney’s Office man the regional DOJACs.

It is also the receiving office of the Task Force Against Corruption that investigates government agencies.

In 2021, DOJAC served 16,105 clients.

DOJAC RIII also has regional offices in Cagayan de Oro, Davao City, Cebu City, and La Union.
