DAGUPAN CITY – The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has placed this city under general community quarantine (GCQ) status from Sept. 8 to 30 from its present modified general community quarantine status.

The city’s Public Information Office (PIO) issued on Monday guidelines in the implementation of the new quarantine classification of the city.

Those coming from outside the province of Pangasinan need to register in the S-pass (safe, swift, smart passage) system and bring a negative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test or antigen, the PIO stated.

Under GCQ, mass gatherings are prohibited while religious gatherings are allowed up to 50 percent of the venue capacity.

The PIO said a modified liquor ban will be implemented wherein selling and buying of liquor is allowed but serving liquor in restaurants, bars, and public spaces, as well as consumption of liquor seen by the public, are not allowed.

Establishments and dine-in restaurants will only accommodate 30 percent of their capacity.

Indoor sports and outdoor contact sports are prohibited, the PIO stated.

The public is also reminded of the 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew and the proper wearing of face masks and face shields.
