Lucena City Covid-19 risk classified ‘very low’

The OCTA Research Group on Sunday reported that Lucena City is now classified as “very low risk” for Covid-19 infections.

The current growth rate of Quezon province’s capital city is minus 68 percent while its average daily attack rate (ADAR) or the number of infected individuals per 100,000 population is just 0.79, as of Saturday’s data.

Olongapo City in Zambales at 0.82 percent is the only other area with an ADAR below 1 percent while Baguio City has the highest at 12.26 percent.

Lucena’s reproduction number is at 0.13 while positivity rate is 3 percent. It has 32 active Covid-19 cases as of Sunday.

Reproduction number pertains to the number of individuals a Covid-19 case could infect while positivity rate refers to the percentage of people who test positive for Covid-19 in a certain area.

The health care utilization rate (HCUR) of the city stands at 15 percent.

In a tweet by OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David, Iloilo City has the highest HCUR at 58 percent, classified as “moderate risk”.

Angeles City in Pampanga has the lowest HCUR at 4 percent, the only one in single digit.

The NCR is likewise classified “low risk’ with minus 38 percent growth rate, ADAR of 3.19, and HCUR of 25 percent.
