No new Covid-19 case in Bataan

This province has recorded no new confirmed case of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing down the active cases to 38 as of Sunday.

Based on the report of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) on Monday, two towns in the province, Bagac and Morong, already have zero active cases.

The remaining active cases are from this city, 11; Mariveles, 8; Hermosa, 5; Orani, 4; Dinalupihan, 4; Limay, 2; and Pilar, Orion, Abucay and Samal, one each.

The total number of individuals in the province who tested positive for Covid-19 remained at 29,507 since the pandemic began last year.

The PHO also reported four new recoveries each in Bagac, Dinalupihan, Orani and Orion towns, increasing the number of patients who beat the virus to 28,261.

However, the number of casualties reached 1,208 after an 80-year-old woman from Orani was reported to have died.

Governor Albert Garcia reminded his province mates not to be complacent and to keep complying with the minimum health standards.

“Patuloy pa ring pinaaalalahanan ang lahat na palaging maghugas ng kamay, magsuot ng face mask at mag observe ng physical distancing na dalawang metro (We keep on reminding all to always wash hands, wear a face mask and observe physical distancing of two meters),” Garcia said in a social media post.
