The National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) said more than eight million doses of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) jabs were administered during the three-day national “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” campaign based on partial records.

NVOC chairperson and Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, speaking at the Laging Handa public briefing on Friday, said the final count of the campaign will be released at about 6 p.m. after regions submit their reports.

Of the 8,014,751 doses as of 6 a.m. Friday, 2,709,344 doses were injected on Monday, 2,475,479 doses on Tuesday, and 2,829,928 on Wednesday.

Among the top-performing regions were Calabarzon, Central Luzon, and Central Visayas.

“Together, they accounted for about a third of the eight million jabs during the three days,” Cabotaje said.

Cebu Province, Negros Occidental, and Cavite were the top-performing provinces.

Local government units were allowed to extend the massive vaccination drive until Friday, but will no longer be included in the tally.

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Bicol, Western Visayas, Soccsksargen, and Central Visayas are among those that have two more days of expanded vaccination.

“’Yung mga pinerform nila nung December 2 atsaka December 3, kasama na yan sa regular na daily jab rate na ating itatala (Their performance on December 2 and 3 will be included in the regular daily jab rate that we will tally),” she added.

The partial vaccine throughput during the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” days brought the Philippines’ total administered jabs to 90,214, 170 doses since the March rollout.

Of the total jabs injected, 37,334,887 were second doses and 421,406 were booster or additional shots for healthcare workers, senior citizens, and immunocompromised individuals.

The country’s average daily vaccination rate in the last seven days also increased to 1,515,884 doses from 1,010,869 the previous week.
