Tuguegarao bans liquor; suspends work, classes for Bar exams

At least 355 examinees took the 2020/2021 Bar examinations at the Cagayan State University (CSU)-Carig campus here, one of the regional examination centers across the country, that was conducted Friday and the next on Sunday (February 6).

City Mayor Jefferson Soriano told the Philippine News Agency that a liquor ban was imposed to ensure peaceful and orderly examinations.

A special non-working holiday was likewise declared in government offices even as classes were suspended at all levels in both private and public schools. Suspension of work in the private sector is at the discretion of the companies.

A traffic rerouting plan was also imposed here, particularly around the CSU. Motorists were told to take the Dalan na Pababbalo to Dalan to Paggayaya roads.

No outsiders except Supreme Court officials and proctors and other authorized university officers are allowed to enter the CSU during the examination dates.
