Manila: At least 10 Catholic priests and a religious brother were among those who passed the 2025 Bar Examinations.
According to Philippines News Agency, the new lawyers include Fr. Mcwellroe Bringas of Tagum City, Fr. Marcelo Operiano Jr. of Tagbilaran City, Fr. Danilo Dela Bajan of Masbate, Fr. Eric Marigondon of Legazpi, Fr. Gerald Lacson of Antique, and Fr. Joel Pepito Oriesga of the Archdiocese of Cebu.
Additionally, two chaplains from the Military Ordinariate, Philippine Air Force's Fr. Rommel Kiamko and Bureau of Fire Protection's Fr. Gil Rochar Dulay, successfully passed the Bar examinations. Other clergy members who achieved this milestone are Augustinian Fr. Generous Gonesto and Alagad ni Maria religious institute's Fr. Florante Moren.
Brother Dominador Valdez Jr., a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Philippines, also joined the ranks of those who passed the 2025 exams.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court announced that 5,594 out of 11,420 examinees passed the 2025 Bar Examinations. The three-day examinations took place on September 7, 10, and 14 across 14 testing centers nationwide.
