Central Luzon: Seventeen beneficiaries in Central Luzon received cash assistance and gift items from the Philippine National Police Officers' Ladies Club Foundation Inc. (PNPOLCFI) during an event here on Wednesday. The beneficiaries, composed of police personnel and their dependents battling severe illnesses, received PHP30,000 each during PNPOLCFI's simultaneous Love and Blessing (LAB) Virus Program and medical mission.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) reported that the beneficiaries also received 10 kilos of rice and assorted grocery items courtesy of PRO-3 chief Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo. "Your initiative and dedication in advancing the LAB Virus Program are a true testament to compassion and love for others," Fajardo stated in a message to PNPOLCFI. "Let us work together to spread the spirit of the 'Love and Blessing Virus' -a message of hope, unity, and service- not only within our organization but also throughout our communities."
The initiative is part of a nationwide synchronized campaign spearheaded by PNPOLCFI across all Philippine National Police (PNP) regional offices. Its nationwide launch in Camp Crame, Quezon City, led by PNPOLCFI national adviser Mary Rose Marbil, wife of former PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil, "exemplified the foundation's enduring commitment to the PNP community and the general public," the PRO-3 stated.
During the event, the Regional Medical and Dental Unit 3 offered free medical services, including circumcision, eye checkups, and both medical and dental consultations, benefitting over 100 individuals. Free medicines and prescription eyeglasses were also distributed to those in need, the PRO-3 reported.
The program aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s "Bagong Pilipinas" advocacy, which envisions a new Philippines founded on empathy, unity, and a people-centered approach to governance. Through initiatives like the LAB Virus Program, PRO-3 noted that the PNP and its partner organizations reaffirm their commitment to humane, inclusive, and proactive public service.
