MANILA: Authorities arrested two high-value individuals (HVI) and seized over PHP1 million worth of shabu in a sting operation in Pampanga province on Wednesday night. In a statement on Thursday, Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 (Central Luzon) chief Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo said the suspects, alias "Tastas", 32, and alias "Ris", 33, were arrested in Barangay Quebiawan in San Fernando City. Seized from the suspects were 160 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP1.088 million. The two suspects, who is now in police custody, will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Hidalgo said the successful operation highlights the continued dedication and vigilance of Central Luzon cops in combating the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.
