Manila: The government's expanded Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) assistance has been released to 20,312 household beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Antique. Jeffrey Gabucay, 4Ps Antique Provincial Link, stated in an interview that the PHP2,000 one-time grant was distributed through their cash cards on July 20-21.
According to Philippines News Agency, Gabucay urged the 4Ps recipients to utilize the UPLIFT aid for purchasing food, emphasizing that household beneficiaries, who are being monitored, also receive educational cash aid for their children. In a separate discussion, Darlene Abagat, Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Team Leader in Antique, mentioned that the payout process for poor and near-poor beneficiaries resumed on Wednesday, aiming to complete the release for the 690 identified recipients in San Jose de Buenavista.
During the simultaneous nationwide kickoff on Monday, 145 household beneficiaries were served. Abagat advised those unable to attend the payout due to illness or other valid reasons to coordinate with the local government unit of San Jose de Buenavista. This coordination will enable them to claim their assistance within the subsequent three days.
