3 Nabbed, P5.9-M Shabu Seized in Lanao Norte Operations

Lanao del norte: Three suspects were arrested and PHP5.9 million worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Lanao del Norte over the weekend, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Zamboanga Peninsula (PDEA-9) reported Monday.

According to Philippines News Agency, PDEA-Zamboanga Peninsula identified the arrested suspects by their aliases as Macarambon, 39; Abdullah, 38; and Jen-je, 29, a female. Macarambon was arrested in an entrapment operation in Barangay Poblacion, Kolambugan on Sunday, where a PDEA agent acted as the buyer. Seized from Macarambon were some 500 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP3.4 million, the boodle money, a mobile phone, and a driver's license.

Meanwhile, PDEA-9 stated that Abdullah and Jen-Je were arrested in Barangay Maranding, Lala, on Saturday. Confiscated from the two were 365 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP2.5 million, along with buy-bust money, a motorcycle, and mobile phones.

All arrested suspects were charged with violation of the Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
