36 Caloocan Families Receive New Homes from SHFC and DHSUD

Caloocan city: The Social Housing Finance Corp. (SHFC) and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) have officially handed over 36 housing units to members of a homeowners' association in Caloocan City.

According to Philippines News Agency, the beneficiaries belong to the Mapalad Ka Homeowners' Association, Inc. (HOAI) located in Barangay 175, Camarin. The turnover ceremony was led by SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa, alongside DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling. During the event, Laxa emphasized the realization of the homeowners' long-held dream of owning a house and lot, stating, "Your HOA has long been fortunate, but now, your dream of owning your own house and lot has finally been realized."

The 36 newly allocated units are part of a three-story residential building developed under SHFC's Vertical Enhanced Community Mortgage Program. This initiative is a component of the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, championed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

Mapalad Ka HOAI President Princess Benilan expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the association for the completion of the permanent housing units. She shared, "The members of Mapalad Ka HOAI are truly very happy. We are very fortunate because you brought our simple dream to Social Housing."

Additionally, the officials of Mapalad Ka HOAI signed the Deed of Restriction (Kasulatan ng Restriksyon or KasuRes), which sets forth the community guidelines and rules for residents to follow.
